Krissi Buchholz
Owner/Teacher
Krissi began dancing at the age of 3. Her passion for dance grew each year and included Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Line Dancing, Kickline, Ballroom and a mix between many.
Krissi received dance teacher training through Tremaine Dance. After pursuing her degrees in Business Management/Entreprenuership, she opened Step It Up Studio in 2012.Â
The studio became her second home. Her passion for the art and the overwhelming joy of seeing a child she had the pleasure of teaching, gain skills and confidence, makes it one of the most rewarding commitments she has ever made.Â

Ellene Foster
Pigeon Studio Assistant/Teacher
Ellene danced for 16 years at Sue's School of Dance where she also assisted and taught classes at the age of 15. When she was 9 she started competitive Gymnastics through Vassar Gymnastics and competed with the Organization until she was a Senior. She attended Regional's every year an individual and team athlete. She obtained her Bachelor's in psychology from Saginaw Valley State University and is pursuing her Masters full time in Applied Behavioral Analysis. She had the privilege of continuing her athletic career at SVSU as a cheerleader for 5 years where she attended NCA Nationals 3 times. It was one of the most rewarding experiences she has ever had.
She has been the program coordinator and Head Coach for Vassar Gymnastics since she graduated High School. Besides coaching, she plans competitions, makes schedules, does paperwork, and she loves it! She has been with Step It Up for 3 years. Currently, she teaches Tiny Tots, Tumbling, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz and Acro! One of her favorite things about teaching is when a student learns a new skill. When she is not at the studio, she spends time at My Church being one of the kid's coordinators and volunteering at our youth ministry.

Teresa Foster
Bad Axe & Pigeon Teacher
Teresa graduated from Caro High School in 2016. She danced for 15 years at Sue's School of Dance where she took Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tumble. She did competitive Gymnastics at Vassar Gymnastics for 12 years. She has been coaching Gymnastics at Vassar Youth Gymnastics for 7 years. She had the pleasure of Cheering at Oakland University where she competed at NCA Nationals and placed 6th in Division 1 Intermediate Small Coed. She has a passion for Tumble, Jazz and Lyrical. She also enjoys teaching many other Genres. She loves helping kids achieve new goals and skills.

Lauren Siegfried
Pigeon Teacher
Lauren began dancing at the age of 7. She studied Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Contemporary and Lyrical. Her passion for children has lead her to a career in being a preschool caregiver. She loves that she gets to teach the youngest dancers the basics and watch them grow throughout the year. She teaches Tiny Ballet, Tiny Tap, and Tiny Hip-Hip! Her favorite thing to do outside the studio is spend time with her family!
